Best Dressed, Mother's Day, Pleased as Punch

Happy Mother’s Day

Hello!

The following card was the first one I made when I got my Pleased as Punch Designer Series Paper!

My favorite paper this Spring is not in any catalog; it is a special release by Stampin’ Up! and it coordinates with four of the new punches – Small Bloom, Umbrella Builder, Tulip Builder and the Heart Duo Pack. So awesome! And such beautiful Spring colors too.

I’ve been showing a lot of cased cards lately – can’t help it, they are all so pretty I want to re-create them – but this one is all mine!

Happy Birthday!

Hello!

If you like paper piecing, you will like this card. Most of the work is in die cutting and piecing. A little smoosh and sentiment stamping and that’s all there is to it.

I cased this card from Nancy Hoetker. I changed the colors – wild poppies are orange here in California.

With Deepest Sympathy

Hello!

Sympathy cards are usually the hardest ones to make. That’s why I like to have a stash of them on hand. I really don’t like making them on demand. But Stampin’ Up! makes it easier with all the great products.

This card was cased from Anne Marie Hile.

What’s This I Hear?!

Hello!

The Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper in the Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog is so great for making quick cards. All you need to do is add a sentiment and an embellishment or two and you’re good to go!

This makes a great Spring card! The yellow organdy ribbon is retired, but still a favorite of mine (I had to hoard a bit of it!). Don’t forget to “hoard” your current Sale-a-Bration favorites. I think some items may carry over but most will not and some items are already gone.

Birthday Jubilee, Paper Pumpkin Feb 2020

Celebrating YOU is the best

Hello!

Yesterday was my turn to challenge my friends and I asked them to use any Paper Pumpkin kit and make an alternative card. Here is my card:

I used elements in the February 2020 Paper Pumpkin kit – Lovely Day. That is a really cute kit, it almost felt like my challenge was too easy. 😉

I added Wink of Stella to the flower which really makes it stand out. Sorry the photo just doesn’t do it justice.

Happy Easter, Happy Spring

Hello!

Yesterday’s challenge was from my friend Lisa: CASE a card, changing the color. Here is the card I made:

I cased this card from the 2020 Stampin’ Up! Mini Catalog, page 67. I changed the color of the card to yellow, my favorite color. This card screams SPRING! to me.

Thinking of You

Hello!

Today’s challenge card is from my friend Shari: to make a Thinking of You card. I have also started a daily card challenge on my Facebook page for those of us in the San Francisco Bay Area who have to shelter-in-place for the next few weeks. The first SIP Daily Challenge was yesterday: to make a card using a product that you had to have but then haven’t used. Use it now!

Here is my card for both challenges:

The Thinking of You sentiment is from the Beautiful Day stamp set. I fussy cut it out, not something I will do very often, but I think it was the right thing to do for this card.

One of the first bundles I got when the 2020 Stampin’ Up! Mini Catalog came out was Birthday Jubilee. I loved the lacy dies. Well, it’s been sitting on my shelf since January waiting for me to break it out. So finally, I did!

I cut out the lacy rectangles with Shimmery White paper. So pretty but very hard to photograph. The photo above shows a little of it. This card looks so much prettier in real life.

Garden Lane, Pleased as Punch, Welcome Easter

Sending Hoppy Easter Wishes

Hello!

Yesterday I challenged my friends to make a green card since it was St. Patrick’s Day. This is the card I made:

I just got some some new dies from Trinity Stamps: Slimline Series: Scalloped and Slimline Series: Stitched. They are designed for making long, narrow cards.

I used the new dies and the cute bunny in the Stampin’ Up! Welcome Easter stamp set along with some other Stampin’ Up! favorites and made this 9″ x 4″ card.

I typed up the sentiment myself and cut it out with one of the Slimline Series dies. And I can’t seem to get enough of these punched small blooms in the Please as Punch Designer Series Paper.

It was really fun making a card this size!

Good Morning Magnolia, Magnolia Lane

We’ll Get Through This Together

Hello!

Today’s card was a challenge from my friend Lisa. Her challenge was to make a card using Stampin’ Up! Magnolia products. I also used Sketch 534 from Mojo Monday for the layout. I really like these turned out:

I made a second version, just a teeny bit different:

When I pulled out the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set and saw this sentiment, I thought it was just perfect because of what is happening in the world right now with the novel coronavirus.

I used current Stampin’ Up! products except for the stitched scalloped rectangle (non-SU) and the retired Petal Pink Variegated ribbon.

Birthday, Layered with Kindness, Pleased as Punch, Stitched So Sweetly

Blooming Happy Birthday!

Hello!

I think my favorite product in the 2020 Stampin’ Up! Mini Catalog is the Stitched So Sweetly die set, particularly the scalloped rectangles. I used the largest of these on my card here:

I really hope they come out with larger sizes too. This card was cased from Helga Hopen.
